Our Mission

Kansas City Legends Soccer Club exists to develop brave, creative leaders — on and off the field. We believe that soccer, taught the right way, builds more than technical skill. It builds character, confidence, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Our program is built around a single philosophy: give every player the tools to express themselves through the game. We develop individuals first, teams second. The trophies follow naturally.

How It Started

In 1989, Andy Barney founded Kansas City Legends with a vision for youth soccer that prioritized player development over short-term results. Starting with a small group of dedicated families in Kansas City, Andy built a training environment rooted in technical mastery, creative play, and equal opportunity for every player.

More than 35 years later, that foundation has produced 50+ state championships, 14 national indoor championships, 400+ college alumni, and over $8.8 million in college scholarships.
